Tony Becerra

Head Coach

Offensive coordinator/Defensive Backs/Running Backs


Coach Becerra joined Pleasantville's football staff in 1998 under Coach Dick Rote.  Prior to joining Pleasantville's football staff, Coach Becerra was an assistant at Horace Greeley High School from 1996- 1998.  Preceding  Greeley, he coached on the Dobbs Ferry/Hastings staff from 1994-1995 and was an assistant coach at Fox Lane High School from 1991-1993.

Becerra, a native of White Plains, began his coaching career in 1990 at his alma mater, Archbishop Stepinac High School, where he graduated in 1984.  Coach Becerra played collegiately at Ithaca College (1984) and Cortland State (1985-1987).  He obtained his undergraduate degree from Cortland in 1988 and his Master's degree from Manhattanville College in 1994.

Coach Becerra has been teaching in the Pleasantville School District since 1994.  His wife, Kristin, and their three children - Maddie, Luke, and Colin, reside in Pleasantville.


George LaMar

Assistant Coach - Defensive Coordinator

This is Coach Lamar's twelfth year coaching football for Pleasantville High School and his fourth year as a varsity coach.  He was previously the Panthers JV head coach.  Coach LaMar received his undergraduate degree from Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, Connecticut and his graduate degree from Pace University.  He works as a special education teacher a Pleasantville High School.  Coach LaMar and his wife, Sarah, live in White Plains with their two dogs, Cosmo and Bubba.


Brian Maceyak

Assistant Coach - Offensive & Defensive Line Coach / Strength and Conditioni

2021 is Coach Maceyak's tenth year as a varsity coach at Pleasantville High School.  He was previously the Panther's JV head coach where he amassed a record of 36-16-2.  Coach "Mace" played at Fairmont State College in West Virginia and is a graduate of Mercy College.  He has over 30 years of coaching experience and works in the Special Education Department at Pleasantville High School.  His wife Benita and their children, Noah and Abigayle, live in Tarrytown.


Pete Christie

Assistant Coach - Quarterbacks / Defensive Backs

Coach Christie brings over 40 years of coaching experience to the Panthers, where he has been a varsity coach for the last 12 years.  He coached high school football in New York, Florida and New Hampshire and Gorton High School in Yonkers where they won a Section Championship in 1979.  The teams he coached in Florida reached the state semi-finals three times and the teams he coached in New Hampshire reached the state finals twice.  Coach Christie is a graduate of Mercy College and lives in Pleasantville.
